Incheon Line 2
Incheon Line 2 was first proposed in the 1990s in a plan brought forth by the city of Incheon, which would oversee the construction of three lines in the city. The planned route would run through the Namdong Industrial Complex, providing service for the workers there.

Initial construction started in 1999, but in the fallout of the Asian Financial Crisis (known as the IMF Crisis in Korea) construction soon ground to a halt after financial difficulties. A revision of the original plan in 2006 reduced the overall size of the line and relegated it from heavy rail to light rail. Construction restarted in 2009.

The line opened on July 30, 2016, from Geomdan Oryu to Unyeon. It is marked orange on maps.

The current LCD announcements being used for the line.
All trains run between Geomdan Oryu and Unyeon.

The current line is 29.2 km (18.1 mi) long. All track is on the right-hand side.
All stations feature screen doors.

There is a single train depot at Unyeon.

The line is currently served by two-car trains, but platforms are built for four.

This line, along with Incheon Line 1, is considered part of the overall Seoul Metro network. Thus, it runs on the standard fare system.

The line is completely driverless, thanks to SelfTrac CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) installed by Thales. However, there are always safety personnel on the train in an event of an accident.
