Seohae Line

Korail Class 391000 

Before reading this section, it is recommended to read the "Brief Intro to Numbering" section on the Trains page.

First Generation

The Korail Class 391000 trains are being built since 2017 by Hyundai Rotem. The first generation was built in 2017 and produced seven trains, numbered 391x01~391x07.

These trains follow the "삼눈이" (three eyes) design. All trains were initially delivered with a blue and gray livery, but have since been repainted with the current green and light green livery.

 

All trains are four cars long. The car numbering is as follows:

3910XX-Tc (Leading car with cab, SIV, air compressor, secondary power device, battery)

3911XX-M' (Pantograph, main transformer, controller, inverter)

3912XX-M'

3919XX-Tc

All trains are stored at Line 4's Siheung Depot.

Second Generation

The second generation will be built in 2021, when the line is extended north to Daegok. Ten trains will be built, numbered 391x08~391x17.

The manufacturer will be Dawonsys.
