Gimpo Goldline
The Gimpo Goldline was originally proposed to be an extension of Line 5, but the plan was rejected by the SMRT as they wanted to build a train yard in Yangcheon, an area where the proposed line would run through.

The line was adjusted into a automated light rail system and construction started in 2014.

The current line opened on September 28, 2019 from Gimpo International Airport to Yangchon. It is marked gold on maps (a deeper gold than the one used on Line 9).

There have been no extensions built or proposed since the line's opening.
Trains run between Gimpo International Airport and Yangchon. Travel time from one end to the other is around 30 minutes.

The current line is 23.67 km (14.71 mi) long. All stations feature screen doors. The line is owned by the city of Gimpo, but is operated by Seoul Metro. Thus, all track is on the right-hand side.

There is a train depot at Gimpo Hangang.

The line is completely automated, thanks to a Nippon Signal CBTC system. However, the trains can be operated manually. There is one crew member posted per car in the event of an emergency.
